Overview

Whereas Mediation services are focused on the resolution of an overall issue/dispute, Facilitator services are focused on breaking open a deadlock in a  specific aspect of an issue/ dispute.

 

Before The last Straw Facilitator Services, draw on my risk training and experience to assist the parties to focus on the specific aspect of the issue/ dispute as predetermined by the client.

 

The delivery of the respective service will vary depending on:

• the client's specific requirements; and
• whether all of participants are in-house (includes outside experts engaged by the client).

Isolating the cause

To achieve consensus as to the major underlying factors contributing to the issue/situation.

 

Identification of issues/problems

To achieve consensus as to the actual issue(s)/situation that has to be resolved.

 

Alternative Option Generation

To assist with the generation of a range of potential options (if any) where there appears to be only one option which is not acceptable.

 

Preferred Option Generation

To assist with the generation of a preferred option where each of the identified options have unacceptable aspects.

 

Finding a Better Way

To assist the addressing of internal roadblocks so as to improve performance and/or reduce risk.

 

Sounding Board Services

A confidential “one on one” service which is focused on providing an independent and non-judgmental sounding board which the client can use to explore and develop ideas, solutions, plans, visions etc.

 

This is an active listener type of service where the pre-agreed level of interaction may range from the listener being able to request clarification to testing the feasibility of the client’s propositions.
